Alvin Tenpo > Devil's Corn Field, Death Valley, CA The restaurant at Stovepipe Wells opens for dinner at 5:30pm and sunset was at around 7:15pm. We had to eat quickly and hit the road. We didn't know exactly where to shoot, but ended up at Devil's Cornfield.

Alvin Tenpo > Financial Pillars Remains of the Overbury Bank, Rhyolite, NV. The moon finally came out from behind the clouds to provide some ambient light, combined with side light from a Coleman lantern. Accent lighting on the block wall with a red filtered flashlight.

Some free transform processing in Photoshop to straighten the building lines. Credit goes to my friend David for help with lighting.
Alvin Tenpo > Spark Stoves Barn, Palomares Road, Castro Valley, CA I've seen this barn on my cycling trips on Palomares Road. The Spark Stove painting on the barn has always looked so interesting to me that I thought I'd try shooting it at night. The moon on this night was 96% full (Waxing Gibbous moon) illuminating the left side of the barn. The front of the barn was lit by a street light at the intersection of Palomares Road and Paloverde Road.
